Onboarding New Hires

As WW’s Product Design team grew, it became clear we needed a more structured way to welcome new designers.

Without consistent onboarding, new hires faced a steep learning curve—struggling to navigate WW’s business, team culture, and design processes.

I led the effort to design a comprehensive onboarding experience. This included a manager’s guide and checklist to standardize the first weeks, a buddy system to connect new hires with peers, and detailed documentation covering WW’s business, Product Design organization, culture, processes, and discipline-specific tools.

My Impact

The result was a scalable framework that not only shortened ramp-up time but also created a stronger sense of belonging. Designers felt supported from day one, which gave managers more confidence and the team a consistent foundation to build upon.
