Browsing Recipes
Every day, WW members face the same question: What should I have for dinner?
Many turn to the WW app for inspiration, but our research showed the experience wasn’t meeting their needs.

My Contributions
Defined problem space and framed user challenges around meal discovery and tracking
Led qualitative and quantitative research to surface key needs and use cases
Partnered with design and product to craft solutions: recipe surfacing + URL import
Supported prototype creation and iterative testing with members
Helped shape the long-term vision: community sharing and personalized recommendations
Redesign Prototype Demo.

Our Impact
We designed a feature that surfaced popular, seasonal, and budget-friendly recipes, while also allowing members to import recipes via URL. In testing, this streamlined approach reduced friction and better supported members in planning and tracking meals.
Looking forward, additional research pointed to future opportunities: enabling recipe sharing within and beyond the WW community, and delivering personalized recommendations based on past tracking behavior. These insights shaped the long-term feature vision.
Project Stats
2 core needs identified: budget-friendly, seasonal recipes + simple URL imports (from qual + quant research)
Prototype testing showed reduced friction in meal planning and tracking with recipe import (placeholder metric: e.g., 40% faster meal logging)
2 long-term opportunities uncovered: recipe sharing (in and beyond WW community) + personalized recommendations based on tracking behavior
